Relevant Employment Experience

3D Artist - Exient, Oxford, April 2010 - Present

At Exient I am currently working as a 3D artist. During this time I have had the privilege to work on some great, world renowned game franchises with some fantastic people. My roles include the creation of art assets (props, buildings, terrain and associated textures), assisting with issues such as AI pathing, the creation of physics objects and the use of in-house tools for world optimisation.

Functionality Tester – SEGA, Chiswick, London, June 2009 – April 2010

I worked as a functionality tester at Sega’s office in London. During this time I gained a deep and complete understanding of the games I worked on which in turn gave me the ability to report on complex AI issues, balancing, game mechanics and logic, along with graphical and code based errors.

3D Artist - 3rd Dimension Creations, Middlesbrough, June 2007 – May 2009

I provided the company with 3D and 2D digital art for various games that have helped bolster both their image and their reputation among small, up and coming digital studios.  I helped to create ‘Codachain’ a music based arcade game for Xbox Live and also worked on DJ Hero for Exient.  My role also involved design suggestions, testing and helping the company to pitch new games as well as editing and proof reading design documentation.

3D Artist - Virtual Playground, Newcastle Upon Tyne, September 2005 – September 2006

Created and designed 3D environment art for three games, balancing workloads against deadlines and using content management software to effectively organise the database of work for each project.
